Against the trafficking of
aspiring footballers
Protection4Kids works in highly vulnerable settings to fight child exploitation, in particular the trafficking of young aspiring footballers in the Gambia, where the dream of sport is often turned into abuse.
Since 2021 we have taken a structural, long-term approach based on listening to communities, prevention, education, health and child protection. Before we act, we listen to children, families and teachers to build truly sustainable projects.
On the ground we turn child protection into concrete action: safe spaces in schools, free medical care, educational infrastructure and direct intervention in cases of exploitation and violence, with a single goal: giving children back their dignity and their future.
Safe and comfortable accommodation
You will live in a shared house with other volunteers, in a safe and welcoming environment where you will feel part of the community
Help with visas, vaccinations and flights
The visa is included; we help you with flights, vaccinations and documents so you can leave stress-free.
Pre-departure training
Before the mission you will take a preparatory course so that you can leave informed, relaxed and aware.
Transport
Travel is guaranteed and included for the whole mission.
Uniform
You will also receive a uniform designed for the local temperatures, so you always feel comfortable.
24/7 support from the local team
Our team is on site 24/7 to handle any emergency. Nothing is left to chance: you will always have a point of contact available at any time.
Official certificate
At the end of the humanitarian mission you will receive a recognised certificate, useful for your CV or for requesting university credits.

Backpack on and off you go! When you arrive you will find other volunteers like you, a welcoming local team and an experience you will hardly forget.
